Remigio Garrido Bouzas was born in Baños de Molgas in 1830 and died in Escornabois (Trasmiras) on 7 October 1907. He was a priest and writer [1].
Life
He studied at the Ourense Seminary and served as a priest in several rural parishes of Ourense, until taking charge of Escornabois, in Trasmiras, where he died [1]. He contributed to O Tio Marcos d’a Portela, Valentín Lamas Carvajal’s satirical newspaper in Galician, in which he became known under the pen name Roque Grilo Berza [1]. In Spanish he wrote, together with José Manuel de Pazos, a youthful work entitled Baraja mística, published in 1888 [1].
