Casimiro Salgado Castro was president of the Codosedo Socialist Group and mayor of Sarreaus in 1936 [1].
Career
He was elected mayor of Sarreaus on 22 March 1936, after taking office as a managing councillor appointed by the civil governor. With the uprising of 18 July 1936 the house where the Socialist Group had its seat was closed; he later requested a pardon and joined the Falange "so as not to be bothered" (according to the Galipedia). He was prosecuted for concealment, but the case was dismissed on 20 June 1939 [1]. The information comes from Edelmiro Martínez Cerredelo’s book A Limia: 1931-1953, pp. 105–106 [1].
